Sebagai bagian dari Tim jejaring Serikat pekerja/ Buruh Sektor Maritim Indonesia, SP SAKTI ikut ambil bagian audiensi ke Direktorat Kepelautan dan Perkapalan Kementrian Perhubungan R.I,kemaren. Diskusi terkait tata kelola dan ketenagakerjaan ABK dan AKP, dipimpin oleh Kasubdit Capt Maltus. Tim Jejaring meminta untuk adanya harmonisasi dan sinergi antar kementrian dan lembaga terkait yang mengelola pengawakan awak kapal tersebut. untuk menghindari adanya dualisme dan tumpang tindih regulasi.
Salah satu tumpang tindih aturan yang harus segera diselesaikan menyangkut implementasi Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) Nomor 22 Tahun 2022 tentang Penempatan dan Pelindungan Awak Kapal Niaga Migran dan Awak Kapal Perikanan Migran. PP ini menyatakan penerbitan surat izin usaha Perekrutan dan penempatan awak kapal (SIUPPAK) yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Perhubungan (Kemenhub) harus dikonversi ke surat izin perusahaan penempatan pekerja migran Indonesia (SIP3MI) yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan (Kemenaker) yang masa transisinya berakhir bulan Juni 2024 yang akan datang.
Sekretaris Jenderal Serikat Awak Kapal Transportasi Indonesia [SAKTI} Syofyan saat dihubungi, Selasa(12/12/2023)di Jakarta, mengatakan, Entah apa yang akan terjadi nanti setelah bulan Juni 2024 itu jika para Manning agency belum juga memiliki izin SIP3MI, dia kawatir moment ini akan dimanfaatkan oleh oknum oknum yang tidak bertanggung jawab untuk memperkarakan Manning Agency yang tidak punya izin tersebut. Semoga hal ini bisa menjadi perhatian dari pengambil kebijakan di negeri ini.
