Maraknya Perusahaan Pelayaran yang Hanya Memikirkan Keuntungan, Begini Tanggapan Ketum SAKTI

Awak kapal adalah orang yang bekerja atau dipekerjakan di atas kapal oleh pemilik atau operator kapal untuk melakukan tugas diatas kapal sesuai dengan jabatanya yang tercantum dalam buku sijil UU No.17 Tahun 2008 Tentang Pelayaran tertuang pada pasal 1 ayat 40.

Dalam industri pelayaran, Awak Kapal memiliki peranan penting dan kedudukan yang lebih strategis dari mesin kapal bahkan dari keseluruhan komponen yang ada di atas kapal.

Hal itu disampaikan oleh Dewa Nyoman S., S.T., M.Mar.Eng selaku Ketua Umum Serikat Awak Kapal Transportasi Indonesia (SAKTI).

“Serikat Awak Kapal Transportasi Indonesia bersama seluruh tim Pengurus dan Anggota Pendiri SAKTI terus berjuang mendapatkan informasi ABK yang terzolimi oleh perusahaan nakal. Di tahun 2023 kita telah mendapatkan laporan dan pengaduan sebanyak 15 kasus diantaranya seperti ABK tidak menerima gaji,Pemutusan hubungan kerja (phk) dan masih banyak permasalah lainnya, Beberapa kasus penuntutan hak ABK telah kami selesaikan,” kata Dewa Nyoman melalui keterangan tertulisnya,

Syofyan sebagai Sekjed Serikat Awak Kapal Transportasi Indonesia juga mengatakan, jika pelautnya sebagai awak kapal tidak menghargai dirinya sendiri saat hak-haknya dilanggar tapi diam, terima saja, karena tak mampu melawan sendirian, maka selamanya pengusaha akan terus menganggap Awak Kapal hanya sebagai alat yang dipakai produktifitasnya saja untuk memenuhi target perusahaan tapi di buang jika dianggap sudah tidak berguna dan membebani.

“Pelaut sebagai awak kapal bukan alat produksi perusahaan, tapi aset yang wajib dilindungi dan dirawat keberadaanya. Penuhi hak-hak normative pekerja sesuai aturan jika ingin operasional perusahaan berjalan lancar,” pungkas Ketum SAKTI itu.

Di akhir keterangan tertulisnya, Ketum SAKTI itu berpesan, “Jika berat dan tak mampu melawan sendirian, Berserikatlah sebelum masalah datang menjerat,” tutup Dewa Nyoman.
