Tanpa kesadaran dan dilandasi oleh komitmen yang kuat, serikat pekerja hanya simbol dan identitas organisasi bagi pelaut jika terjerat masalah saja tanpa eksistensi pergerakan, perlawanan, dan tindakan nyata yang memihak kepentingan pekerja, tapi malah sebaliknya pro-kapitalism yang menghianati serta menindas kaumnya sendiri.
